hey…. You don’t gotta worry about him. He’d never tell anyone anything… you’d understand if you met him sometime. But yeah, he’s my setter, the brains of our team. I got him into volleyball when we were young. He likes video games more… though lately, there’s a rival player that’s sparking his interest. He still skips a ton of practices. My life as a captain is so hard.

You might have to kidnap him and keep him in the practice area.

Ugh, he’d find a way to slip out. He’s just lucky he’s the brain and the rest of us can support him so he can function.

I know I kind of said it offhandedly but… maybe you could check out a game sometime. We have a big tournament coming up here soon. You could meet my team… and you and I could grab some drinks again.

[ And Seung-gil "Head Empty, Only Skate" Lee would know. Not because he's particularly smart (besides math), but it really is a wonder when he manages to function off the ice. At least he's smart enough not to mention that. ]

I'd really like seeing you play and getting drinks again. Just let me know the date and I'll see if I can make it. I don't have any shows coming up too soon, so it's mostly managing my practice time. Is it the beginning of the tournament?

He’d just play video games if I didn’t pull him into volleyball. But I want to play with my friend and this is the last year I can.

It’s in a week. It’s my last tournament in high school. It’ll be the beginning but it’ll still be a good show. I gotta impress you after all.

[ Thankfully there's no one around to judge Seung-gil for smiling at his phone but his dog. And he can just judge right back, so there's no problem. ]
